Submission Deadline Extended

October 27th, 2008

The deadline for proposals for Digital Humanities 2009 has been extended until 12 Midnight GMT on Friday 14 November. We do not expect that there will be any further deadline extensions beyond this date.

Please note that if you have not used the online submission system,
ConfTool, before it may be useful to familiarise yourself with it in good time. It is possible to input your details before uploading a paper, and you can also withdraw a contribution if you are unhappy with it, so you do not have to wait until everything is ready to begin the process. Please see details in the Call For Papers and the Submission Guide.

Christine Borgman to Keynote

July 7th, 2008

We are very pleased to announce the second of our two keynotes, Christine Borgman, Professor & Presidential Chair in Information Studies at UCLA. Professor Borgmann is the author of two recent books from the MIT Press, From Gutenberg to the Global Information Infrastructure and Scholarship in the Digital Age: Information, Infrastructure, and the Internet. An ideal speaker for us given the close affinity between MITH and Maryland’s own iSchool, she will bring a focus on cyberinfrastructure, scholarly communication, and digital libraries to the keynote events.
