Beena Raghavendran [insert photo] (/biːnə rɑːgəveɪndrən/, born 1993) is a student at the University of Maryland [link to website] studying journalism and government and politics. She was born in Irvine, California [link to Wikipedia page] and raised in Mason, Ohio [link to city website], just outside Cincinnati [link to website]. She has been a student journalist since 2009, serving positions as writer and editor and currently covers the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center [link to website] for The Diamondback [link to website], UMD’s student newspaper.
