Planned Obsolescence a recent book by Kathleen Fitzpatrick, currently Director of Scholarly Communications for the Modern Language Association. It is available in two forms: as a printed book or ebook from the bookseller of your choice, or as an open access text. The latter is presented in the format for which it was initially distributed for an online open review, allowing interested readers to leave public comments attached to individual portions of the manuscript. You are free to read it in either version (and for that matter leave comments if you choose the open access text).

This is a required text. We will need it toward the end of the semester. Its abbreviation is PO.
