Email is the best way to contact me: mgk -at- umd -dot- edu. You may also send me (@mkirschenbaum) a Direct Message on Twitter. (The latter has the advantage of enforcing brevity on both of us.) Please allow 24 hours for a response though you’ll often get one much sooner.
I have two offices on campus, one in Tawes 3201, and the other in the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH) which is located in Hornbake Library, on the basement level through Nonprint Media Services. My phone in the English department is 301-405-9650. You’re welcome to call, but leaving a Voicemail if I don’t pick up is not a reliable way of contacting me quickly. Much better to send email or use Twitter.
I am in MITH most Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be in Tawes most Wednesday afternoons. You’re welcome to arrange an appointment on any of those days. If that won’t work for you please just let me know and we’ll find something that will. I am also happy to do Skype calls (I’m “mkirschenbaum” there) and Google Hangouts. Or you can find me as “mkirschenbaum” on Google Chat, but please understand I won’t always be able to be available.
