Traveling from Nearby Airports
The three major airports in the Washington area are Reagan Washington National (DCA), Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI), and Washington Dulles International (IAD). DCA is the most accessible from College Park, while IAD is the least.
You can use the area’s Metrorail system to travel between all three major airports and the UMD College Park campus. The College Park Metro Station is located on River Road off Paint Branch Parkway, approximately 1 mile from campus, and is serviced by the UMD Campus Shuttle on weekdays. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority home page provides information on fares and timetables.
