"Would-Be Radio Starlets: Approximately 1,000 little girls applied yesterday for tests to select a star to appear in a serial juvenile radio drama which will be a feature of the Nihon Hoso, the new radio station which will start functioning July 1. All accompanied by their mothers, they undertook singing and saying a few lines at the Toranomon Fashion School in Minato-ku.
