They again led the field in 1979 and set new course records - Babiracki at 28:52 and Gorman at 35:32. Miki Gorman also won national recognition for her speed and stamina. In 1975, at the age of 39, she won the women's division of the Boston Marathon. Two years later, she won the women's division of both the Boston and New York marathons."
