Buddhism on the Diamond

"Nuns studying for a degree in Buddhism at Komazawa University, Tokyo, have organized a baseball team, likening "safe" to "life" and "out" to "death" in baseball-Buddhism terms. Dean of Students Furukawa sponsored the enterprise and he said that there is no reason in heaven or earth why Buddhism and baseball shouldn't mix. Picture shows professional baseball players coaching the nun-enthusiasts in the art of sliding to a base."
