Japanese Housewife

"Japanese housewife Mrs. Ikuyo Shimura kneels at door and bows low to husband on his return from work. While she adheres to this ancient custom, she uses modern appliances such as vacuum cleaner in her middle-class Tokyo home." She should probably be further identified as the wife of a salaryman who was arriving home late at night.
