“Transformational Intersections” is a dynamic dialogue that will elaborate on radical understandings of individual agency, activism, and social action in the world. This conversation is being recorded for circulation via the AADHum website, and we welcome a live audience.

We are proud to welcome a panel of specialists in the digital and public humanities, including:

  • Dr. Howard Rambsy II, a professor of literature at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

  • Father Joseph A. Brown, S.J., Ph.D., a Catholic priest and Professor in the Department of Africana Studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale

  • Kevin Winstead, a PhD candidate in the Department of American Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park

  • Dr. Catherine Knight Steele (moderator)

The conversation will address, in particular:

  • Digital humanities pedagogy

  • Forming partnerships between universities and high schools for digital and public humanities K-12 education

  • Centering a sense of agency among students

  • Modeling diversity and representation in the field of technology
