Bio: I'm a Ph.D. student at Indiana University, Bloomington in the School of Library and Information Science; I also work extensively with the department of History and Philosophy of Science. My primary historical research focuses on diffusion and discourse in the Republic of Letters, and in that capacity I've worked with three of the big RoL groups out there, analyzing data and doing history-like things. I also work pretty frequently in modern studies of scholarly propagation/diffusion on a fairly large scale, using techniques like citation, text, and network analysis, bayesian statistics, and differential & agent-based models. Time not working is devoted to blogging on DH methodologies, juggling, and my partner, in the exact opposite order presented.
