I originally planned to include a wide range of gender/social policy
issues in the course. As I worked on the syllabus, though, I realized
that I needed to narrow the course -- which means that I've had to leave
off many of my favorite works that are just a bit outside what I'm
focusing on. The current course focuses primarily on work/family policy,
welfare policy, reproductive policy, and women's activism. We'll examine
these issues both inside and outside the United States.
