Adopt-A-School Guide, And Women's History Resource Catalog

Wide public attention has recently focused on the plight of girls in school
by both the AAUW's "Shortchanging Girls, Shortchanging America" study and
Drs. Myra and David Sadker's book, Failing at Fairness: How America's Schools
Cheat Girls. Most people regard these findings with vexation and a feeling
of helplessness, not knowing how they can respond personally to alter the
grim situation. Both studies strongly recommend increased women's history
information in the curricula and on classroom walls, and in libraries. This
confirms the long-held position of the National Women's History Project. We
offer a free "Adopt-A-School" guide to help individuals bring women's history
to the fore in schools, and a free, 48-page catalog of excellent,
multicultural resources.
