                  ** THE WOMEN'S VOICES PROJECT **

The Women's Voices Project (working title) is a joint project of
the Center for Policy Alternatives and the MS. Foundation with the
goal of talking to women and hearing their concerns regarding their
work and the impact of the economy on their lives and the lives of
their families. The project held 5 focus groups in March 1992 and
will conduct a national survey in April. Special attention is being
paid to the concerns of women of color and working class women. In
June, there will be national and state press briefing and round-
tables with women leaders to discuss the policy implications. For

With its sister organization, WAND Education Fund, WAND works to
empower women to act politically to reduce violence and militarism
and redirect military savings toward human and environment needs.
We work closely with our grassroots members, produce and develop
materials, and operate a Washington Office staffed by two women
lobbyists.

WAND PAC raises money for and provides technical assistance to
women Congressional candidates. The Women Legislator's Lobby, a
project of WAND, is a national organization of women elected
officials who lobby Congress to redirect federal budget priorities.
