The Future of Information Alliance (FIA)

\n2013-2014 Seed Grant Competition<\/p>\n

Help solve the information challenges of today’s world.
\nStudent teams work with faculty mentors and FIA Partners on real world problems.
\nFour teams will each win grants of up to $25,000.
\nJoin us September 24, 2-4 pm in the Colony Ballroom in the Stamp Student Union for a kickoff informational meeting!<\/p>\n

You can learn more about the program and hear from the FIA Founding Partners:\u00a0the National Geographic Society, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, the US National Park Service, the Newseum, the National Archives, Sesame Workshop, WAMU 88.5, the Barrie School, and the Office of the Governor of Maryland.<\/p>\n

Students and faculty mentors from nine UMD colleges and schools took part in the competition last year.<\/p>\n
