For many, NaNoWriMo is the only time they get to write fiction, and I can imagine others who (like me) would jump to use the NaDHWriMo challenge as the only time in the year when they really get to focus on programming.

I have a Python project in mind, but I’m not enough of a programmer that I can set myself x lines of code a day. What kind of requirement would you suggest for someone who can’t quantify output in lines–perhaps time (spend 1 hour every day working on your program) or pseudocode chunks (today, I’m going to hack at this until I accomplish x)?
