However, that particular link lacks a few variations that we’ve found in our source material from 1890-1930, for example the “ii” ending, the “ff” in place of a “v”, and the apparent “eo” misspelling. While building a search function based on our source material and outside databases will be invaluable, FLA is more intellectually interested in the potential analysis we might be able to conduct considering these variations. We might find trends in these variations through digital analysis that mirror political, cultural, or linguistic trends in the source publications, or we might not.
