Everyone's face in this picture is extremely atypical of what you would usually find in a family portrait. It is almost as if something had happened immediately prior to the photo shoot that was troubling the family, and then Emil said, "Quick! Everyone look normal!" Everyone knows that when someone tell you to try and look normal, you can't. This failed attempt at a "normal" shot is proof that something else must have happened. Indeed, this is the case. What truly happened was that Emil's family was guilty of murder! The photographer was killed from the mixture of the flash from the camera and the extreme whiteness of the family's clothing. The brightness what too much for the poor photographer, and his brain was fried. Unsure of what to do, the family looked around nervously. They decided the shoot must go on! They set the camera on timer and took their places. They tried their best to smile normally and act as if everything was alright, but it is very apparent in their faces that it was not.
