- Near the end of the third day of conference presentations, architects and urban planners gathered to put forth their ideas on the shape of housing and urban development. This week, ideas for creating a new standard of life with man as the measure through the contributions to be made in housing and urban form. Speakers: urban planner Charles Abrams; architect and planner George Candilis; Jack Meltzer from the University of Chicago's Center for Urban Studies; and Heikki von Hertzen, head of Finland's Tapiola Project and administrator and president of Finland's housing foundation.
